Himesh to star in Slumdog Paanchvi Paas Se Tezzzz
Himesh Reshammiya is all set to star in Satish Kaushik’s latest venture, Slumdog Paanchvi Paas Se Tezzzz, a riches-to-rags tale of an IITian who appears on a TV show to find himself mentally scarred for the rest of his life. The movie, based on Chetan Bhagat’s forthcoming novel, also stars Danny Denzongpa as Himesh’s childhood nemesis, the evil Hindi Teacher.
“Himesh was a natural choice for the role,” said Satish Kaushik, “he appeared for IITJEE three times and ended up mentally scarred himself.” Sources close to Kaushik reveal that Harman Baweja was the original choice for the role, but failed the screening test when he thought that IITJEE was a Bengali surname.
“The concept of the story is simple – each chapter in Himesh’s life reveals the key to the answer to one of the game show’s questions – till he is left with one question but has run out of cheats,” reveals Bhagat. ”This question is in the Class 1 Hindi category and brings back traumatic childhood memories and paralyses him completely.”
The movie has generated enormous global interest, and has been nominated for multiple awards even before anyone in India has had the chance to see it. ”Even our censor board hasn’t seen this movie,” says Kaushik, “actually nor have I -because we haven’t finished writing the script.”
Meanwhile an angry Amitabh Bachchan has rubbished the movie on his blog, saying, “SPPST represents India as a nation that can make a movie that does not star Amitabh Bachchan, and causes pain and disgust [in me].”

Excellent article! By the way, my choice of the Hindi teacher is Ashutosh Rana. Also, Harman Baweja is now known as Hurman. You might just bring him bad luck with your misspellings.
