TJ editor releases Indian politicians
Tundla Junction’s chief editor (who shall remain anonymous for fear of reprisals) took a cue from Bill Gates’ effort to bring the afflictions of the developing world to the United States. He/she (or they) released 25 Indian politicians from a jar at a conference for pseudo-intellectuals, microcelebrities and self-declared phonies in Los Angeles.
Just like Mr. Gates took the precaution of only releasing mosquitoes that were malaria-free, we (or he, she or they) ensured that the politicians released had only been convicted of bribery, extortion and assault (not serious crimes like murder or rape). They also did not speak English nor, for that matter, were they literate in any language.
The move was criticized by some in the main stream media as a publicity gimmick while others dismissed it as eccentric behavior by people delusional enough to think they can make a difference. Few recognized it for what it was – trafficking in illegal immigrants.
“Politicians are to India as malaria is to the health of the poor in developing countries,” Tundla Junction said, conveniently choosing the easiest scapegoat to blame for all of the country’s troubles. “Besides, Americans need something to cheer them up in this bad economy. Once they get to know Indian politicians, they’ll be glad that the worst thing American politicians do is cheat on their taxes and invade foreign countries,” we added.
